Vets4Pets Newtownabbey326 is part of the Vets4Pets group. The practice describes itself as modern and well-equipped, with an in-house lab and imaging (digital X‑ray and ultrasound) alongside a hospital ward, isolation unit, and operating theatre. Reviewers most often mention specific clinicians (Arthur and Rebecca), with repeated examples of detailed explanations, regular updates during treatment, and efforts to reduce stress for nervous cats. A small number of reviews raise concerns about pricing communication (a vaccination quote changing due to “add ons”) and one owner’s account of repeated visits where the same treatment was recommended before they sought emergency care elsewhere.

I truly trust Arthur with my life (and thankfully the lives of our rabbits too). V4P newtownabbey have never turned us away or let us down when we need them. Arthur always does his best to try save us some money too which is so appreciated! Receptionists are always kind and understanding

The staff are amazing and so good with our wee furbabies. They were especially caring and understanding when I had to take my in-laws elderly pup in when she was at the end 😢 Rebecca particularly was so fantastic and helped us deal with what was a devastating decision. Couldn’t praise them highly enough for their dedication and care.

I was quoted a price over the phone for first time vaccinations. When I got there the price was almost double with their hidden add ons. I had a disagreement over this and left. Sometime later, my adult daughter would also used them need and appointment. She was told that they wouldn't see her because of the disagreement I had. I contacted the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons with a view to making a complain but my daughter said they weren't worth it. Clearly the person who made the decision not to see my daughters dog is more concerned with petty revenge than the welfare of animals.

I can’t recommend this veterinary practice highly enough! One of our cats became ill while we were away, and the team were amazing keeping us updated every step and being so accommodating when friends and family needed to bring him in. We also have a very nervous cat, and they’ve been fantastic in offering advice and working around his needs to make visits as stress-free as possible. Thank you for your care and support!

I picked this vets because of the great reviews. It hasn’t disappointed. The nurses are fantastic. They are extremely friendly and welcoming. The vet Arthur is the same. Very knowable and explains everything on each visit. It’s lovely to see such a nice team dynamic here between the staff. The prices are very reasonable too. The service overall is excellent.

Wasn't impressed - I truly believe my cat would have died if I hadn't taken him to a different vet practice. After multiple, multiple appointments with a cat clearly in pain, Arthur just kept recommending the same treatment that clearly wasn't working and would suggest we wait another week and bring him back, multiple times. He would spend half the appointment over-explaining topics and going off on related tangents and dancing around the subject. My cat is now thriving after emergency treatment at another vets. This is just my personal experience.

Everyone at this practice is wonderful and really sound. They'll do whatever they can to help your pet, and have no interest in ripping you off (the cost of veterinary care in general has gone up but we haven't noticed significant/excessive increases at this practice, they're also great about working with insurance). The vets, specifically Rebecca, use current evidence-based best practice to minimize stress on cats during veterinary handling. Our cat Freddie has made himself a regular here, and Rebecca has taken the time to build a bond with him and do what she can to make the visit pleasant for him. He was previously feral and completely unsocialised-- Vets4Pets Newtownabbey is his only experience with veterinarians, and I have never experienced a cat being so chill and content with going to the vet. I highly recommend this practice for the value, knowledgable vets, excellent handling methods, and friendly staff.

We did a mad dash to the vets to arrange an Irish passport for my English dog (rather than pay £250 each time we travel to Europe for an EHC). This meant disembarking the ferry at 09:45 in Belfast, travelling to Vets4Pets, then back to the ferry for 11:00 to check in. Arthur took a long phone call with me before hand to explain the process (at no cost) then saw me on the day I travelled. Arthur is obviously very knowledgeable on the paperwork process and completed this very quickly in person. Great service from start to finish and the ladies on reception are great craic. Thank you all very much, Ryan (and Magnus)
