Glenburn Veterinary Surgeons is a group of three veterinary practices (as described on its website). The clinic is set up for routine small‑animal care (cats, dogs and other small animals) as well as urgent presentations: recent reviews describe being seen quickly for weekend emergencies, with diagnostics such as X‑rays used for a painful cat. The website also flags preventative care options via a Pet Health Club® Plus plan that includes consultations.
Owners’ experiences in reviews are mostly positive about access and handling—getting appointments when needed, a “large reception area,” and staff taking time to keep a first visit low‑stress for a nervous dog—but there are also sharply negative accounts around cost and being asked to pay before treatment, and one detailed complaint about a rushed/unsupported diagnosis with no tests offered.
Based on the website summary and reviews, Glenburn Veterinary Surgeons provides
4.8 stars from 314 reviews. - Fast help in urgent situations, including weekend emergencies; one owner says their cat in significant pain received an X‑ray and “all necessary care” and improved quickly.

Dog emergency on a Saturday, my usual vets closed, so found Glenburn. As a result I have made them our new vet... Everything about the care and service was outstanding. Excellent receptionist (you can't say that very often!) and staff. Thank you. Can't recommend more strongly.

Vets think of a price and double it they don't care about the people who can't afford their extortionate prices

I was refused help unless I paid money first and then punished for keeping my cat healthy over the years and told to go elsewhere. The girl in the phone was very nice and helpful though

Took my border collie here to get leg checked out after a tick bite. She is incredibly anxious and therefore does not walk or hold herself as normal at the vet. I was greeted by Andrew who was not personable or empathetic at all. He did a 'paw test' on my dog for a minute and then declared 'it's neurological' with no further explanation. I was in shock and disbelief as she was running round garden no problem that morning. I said I think her leg being raised was tick bite but was rubbished. Wasn't offered any scans or tests to back up this serious diagnosis. Just thrown painkillers and told not to exercise her at all for 2 months. She is an incredibly active young dog and this was just ridiculous to me. Took her to another vet today who rubbished this 'diagnosis.' She said she is just a typical stressed collie. She put her at ease and did paw test and she was perfect. All paws back quickly. She said she was aggravated by tick as we said and saw no signs of any neurological condition. We will avoid this practice at all costs and advise others to also. I dread to think if we had followed his awful advice. Would have had a very depressed and overweight dog. Traumatic experience to say the least. Update: In response to practice saying to contact them directly, I did the following day and spoke at length to person on reception about my experience and also fed back via text review. Nothing was done.

Registered my cat here. The care has always been good and I've always gotten an appointment when I needed one. Those on Reception are really friendly and always love to see my cat. The vets themselves are very caring and knowledgeable but firm with a scared and hyperactive marmalade cat.

Excellent practice, recommended by a friend, large reception area, Excellent staff, made to feel at ease right away, more so for my pet, his first visit and first ever examination, he's a large GSD, and the time they took to assess him and make his first visit as stress free as possible . I was more nervous than Barkley, no need to worry, very impressed from start to finish. His vets for life. Highly recommended.
